Larry Boardman (AKA “The Car Guy”) has always been a car enthusiast. At 10 years old, he had the only Sears riding lawnmower with dual exhausts on the street. (Actually copper water pipes.) He graduated to go-carts and took a go-cart designed for 5 mph and made it go 30 mph. He has over 40 years of direct hands-on automotive experience. Cars are a passion, not just a business to Larry. He is an accomplished amateur race car driver and car restorer. He brings you the direct expertise needed to help you protect your investment.

Larry is a member of numerous car clubs and organizations. He is a member and Master National Judge for the Antique Automobile Club of America and is a member of SEMA/SAN, Goodguys Rod & Custom, Connecticut Council of Car Clubs, Valley Collector Car Club, CORSA, V8Vairs and many more. He has judged many well known shows such as the Greenwich and Hartford Concourse D’Elegances as well as many local and regional car shows including AACA Regional and National Meets. He is a Certified Master Vehicle Appraiser with the National Association of Certified Vehicle Appraisers and a former member of International Vehicle Appraisers Network. His appraisals are accepted by all major insurance companies, banks, credit unions, the IRS and Courts of Law.
Larry’s appraisals have a 100% acceptance rating by insurance carriers and courts of law since appraising full time in 2004.

His experience includes: - Used Car Appraiser and salesman for a international brand car dealership - 2005-2006 International Vehicle Appraiser Network, Appraiser of the Year - Guest Speaker at the 2007 Connecticut Bar Association Annual Meeting. - Restored many vehicles including a total restoration of a 1977 MGB. - His own vehicles have won numerous awards including “Best of Show”. - Competitive race car driver since 1993, he has won many Autocross and Time Trial Championships. - Former electromechanical design /development engineer. - Worked with all of the major domestic and international automotive manufacturers and suppliers providing 3-D computer-aided design and engineering software solutions. - Past President and Director of The Connecticut Autocross and Rally Team - Owned several classic and special interest cars including a 1954 Chevy Wagon, 1955 Pontiac, 1966 Dodge Coronet Convertible, 1978 Ford Torino, 1985 Pontiac Fiero GT. and 1986 Mazda RX-7
